Tobenna Arodiogbu: A lot of people don’t realize that before 2016, a lot of owner operators had to keep track of their logs on paper. It was complex, I can see how having the mobile app and moving to the full ELD has saved a lot of people a lot of headaches on the compliance side.
Shoaib Makani: We really thought about the electronic log in application as a bridge between the paper world and the ELD world. When we started the company, we knew there was ELD regulation being contemplated but we didn’t know when it would be brought to market. Our view is we’ll go and build an audience for this free application and deliver value to our customers. We had conviction that if we deliver value and build trust with drivers and fleets we would figure out what to do next. Most importantly, what we wanted to do was build that trust and relationship and connectivity with drivers as well as fleet owners.
