As a virtual carrier, we do not own a fleet of trucks managed out of a physical location. Owner-operators can lease on to our authority as contractors, and we provide the technology, operational support and partnerships they need to start, operate and expand their trucking businesses.
Virtual Carrier gives you the freedom to manage your trucking business and operations the way you want to – you can make your own schedule, book your own loads, manage your own maintenance, etc. A traditional carrier that owns and operates its own fleet typically manages all of those operations.
To lease onto our authority, you need to be 23–70 years old, have had a CDL A License for 2 years, and hold a clean driving record. If you have your own truck and trailer, that’s great! If not, you will need to purchase or rent one. We have partnerships to help you get set up with equipment.
No, CloudTrucks does not own its own trucks. However, CloudTrucks partners with major truck leasing companies to provide lease-to-own options for equipment.
Yes, CloudTrucks includes auto liability and cargo insurance in our lease-on fee.
